ZAP. ZAP stands for "Zero Air Pollution."
1994年9月23日創業。電動アシスト自転車と折りたたみ式のエレクトリックスクーターを発表する。
95年、インターネットでのマーケティング開始。99年、エレクトリック・バイクを発売。2001年に、ダイビングスクーターを発売。
2003年、電気自動車を発表。2004年、エレクトリック・ATVを導入。そしてsmartの並行輸入代理行を開始する。2005年、smart
fortwoでのアメリカ安全・環境基準をクリアする方法を提案、予約販売を始めたところ爆発的な人気となり、ダイムラークライスラーに対してスマート10億ドル分を注文、関係者を驚かせた。
2010年07月8日 ZAP （OTCブレティンボード: ZAAP） と Jonway Group は、 ZAP が Jonway Automobile の株式 51% を取得することに合意した。

1863年、オランダからの入植者 Abraham Koop が設立した農業機械メーカーが起源である。1908年、Melitopol Motor Plant が内燃機関生産を開始する。1923年、Zaporizhzhya Plant において Komunar ブランドの農業機械生産を開始する。
1960年～1994年、乗用車 Zaporozhets と空冷エンジンを生産。1988年より乗用車 Tavria の生産を開始する。
同じ1988年、Daewoo との合弁によって AvtoZAZ-Daewoo Closed Joint-Stock Company を設立、Daewoo の生産を行う。
1999年、UkrAVTO の傘下に入る。
2003年、Zaporizhzhyaの生産工場を国外の投資企業に売却、Zaporizhzhya Automobile Building Plant Closed Joint-Stock Company と改称する。
2004年から Lada および Opel Astra G の生産を開始する。
2005年、UkrAVTO の関連会社 TDC-AVTO のモデルであり、TATA 製シャシをベースとした I-VANバスの生産を開始。

米IBM社の元社員らが率いる EEStor 社に出資し、同社のキャパシタ技術を元にした電気自動車を展開している。
この技術は、バッテリにキャパシタを用い、5分間の充電で約800kmの走行を可能にするという。EEStor社は絶縁体にチタン酸バリウムを用いており、エネルギー密度を通常のバッテリーの10倍にできると発表している。

Zenvo Automotive was founded in 2004 to produce a unique hand-built supercar. The prototype was completed in December 2008 and is in the final phase of testing before production begins in 2009.
The ST1 is a real supercar powered by GM 7litre V8 1104 BHP engine with both a supercharger and a turbo. The ST1 is designed by 100% Danish. Only 15 ST1s are to be built and will be sold to approved customers. It is estimated that the basic cost of the car, without registration or tax, will be around 5.6 million Danish kroner or just over a million dollars. The cost of putting the car on the road in Denmark would be around 16 million kroner as a result of registration expenses. But Zenvo are aiming at the export market alone.
It is managed by Jesper Jensen, the founder and financier, and Troels Vollertsen, the car performance expert. The brand is based on a combination of their names.
