2004年12月から SUV 生産を再スタート。当時の生産車 Jiefang CA6400 は、 Etsong 製 Austin Maestro Van （または Montego）と言われている。Etsong は FAW グループの会社であったが、SAIC が買収して SAIC-GM-Wuling に組み込んでおり、Sichuan Auto は Etsong の施設を譲り受けて生産を開始したとみられる。
Etsong は 英国の RDS (Rig Design Services) と Etsong Tobacco のジョイント・ベンチャーとして創業したメーカーであった。
1984年、Yorkshire Kit Carsとして創業。

1992年創業。エンスージアストである Don Burt が Marlin Roadster の権利を取得し、Ford Sierra のコンポーネントを利用したトラディショナルなスタイルのスポーツカーRomeroを90年代末に完成させた。2002年末には Lotus 7 type のスポーツカー "F27 (Formula 27)" を発表、同タイプのレプリカとしては、パワートレーンにオートバイのエンジンを用いる先駆的な存在であった。その後、F27 は Ford Zetecエンジンを搭載し、根強い支持を獲得する。
2004年9月、Don Burt は高齢を理由に70歳の誕生日を以って事業を終了することを発表。F27 およびその派生モデル KR は Image Sports Cars へ、それ以外のトラディショナルモデルは Aquila Sports Car へと一切の権利を譲渡し、2006年に事業を終了した。
